Hogan, Ard sign with Columbus State University

Hope Ard and T.J. Hogan, two key members of the Smiths Station track and field team, joined the growing stream of Panther track stars that are chosing to perform collegiately at Columbus State University. Ard, who runs the 1,600, 3,200 and 5,000 meters, and Hogan, who is a hurdler and pole vaulter as well as a decathlete, signed letters of intent Tuesday morning in the lobby of the school's auditorium.

Columbus State cross country and track and field coach J.D. Evilsizer, the former Panther coach, has signed a number of Smiths Station athletes to his track team. Ard and Hogan are the second and third in just a week.
