Lady Cougars sweep home finale

Columbus State swept Albany State 5-1, 2-0 Tuesday night to finish out its home schedule.

In Game 1, Kristi Bullard picked up her 14th win allowing Albany State (23-26) three hits and striking out 11.

CSU scored four runs in the bottom of the inning to take a 4-1 lead. The Lady Cougars scored their last run in the sixth from back-to-back doubles by Amanda Wheeless and Jordan Aszman.

In Game 2, Jennifer Isasi threw a three-hit shutout to earn her seventh win.

The Lady Cougars scored the only two runs in the second inning.

CSU (29-28) heads to Florence, S.C., this weekend for the Peach Belt Conference tournament. The bracket has not yet been released.
