Columbus State, Armstrong State tie 2-2

Columbus State and Armstrong State played to a 2-2 tie on Friday night at the Walden Soccer Complex.

Nicole Corcione scored both goals for CSU (3-2-1, 0-0-1 Peach Belt Conference).

She scored the first at 15:35 on a header. It was her third of the season. Chelsea Person got the assist.

Sarah Olin tied the match for Armstrong at 28:13,

Asa Thorsen gave the Lady Pirates (2-2-1, 0-0-1) a 2-1 lead at 46:33.

Corcione tied the match at 75:55 on another goal on a header from a free kick. The assist went to Andi Larese.

The teams played through two overtimes with neither team being able to score.

CSU's Maylyn Parsons finished with two saves.

The Lady Cougars host West Alabama at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
