Columbus State volleyball loses last two sets, match to Augusta State

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State scored the final three points of the fifth set and beat Columbus State 3-2 on Friday night in the Peach Belt Conference opener for both teams.

Augusta State won 25-13, 21-25, 20-25, 25-17, 15-12.

Megan Frame led the Lady Cougars (1-8, 0-1) with 10 kills. Maddie Harris added nine.

Abby King had 34 assists.

Caytlin Merritt had 13 digs, while Brittany Moore added 10.

The Lady Cougars play at Georgia College at 5 p.m. Saturday.
