Columbus State's Robert Mize receives Peach Belt honor

The Peach Belt Conference named Columbus State's Robert Mize as its Men's Golfer of the Week on Thursday.

Mize, a former Brookstone standout, finished second in the Cougars' season-opening tournament -- the Aflac/Cougar Invitational -- earlier this week.

Mize shot a 5-under-par 208 to finish just one shot out of the lead. It was his 10th top-10 finish of his career.

Mize helped the Cougars take the team title.

The Cougars play at the Saint Leo Invitational on Monday in Dade City, Fla.
