Columbus State soccer scores easy win over USC Aiken
Columbus State scored four times in the first half and wen on to a 5-0 rout of USC Aiken on Saturday afternoon at the Walden Soccer Complex.
Chelsea Person got the Lady Cougars on the board at the 11:27 mark with her second goal of the season. Taylor Marks picked up the assist.
Less than two minutes later at the 12:17 mark, Cassandra Wade gave CSU a 2-0 lead with her second goal of the year. Olivia Jarrell got the assist.
Tori Hood scored her first goal of the season at 26:23 with Claire Belay getting the assist.
Belay scored CSU's fourth goal at 34:34.
Jarrell capped the scoring at 48:19 with her third goal of the season. Nicole Corcione picked up the assist.
CSU keeper Maylyn Parsons made two saves.
CSU is 5-2-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the Peach Belt Conference. USC Aiken is 1-6 and 1-2.
CSU travels to Milledgeville, Ga., to face Georgia College on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
