CSU volleyball team defeats Pfeiffer, loses to Belmont Abbey

MISENHEIMER, N.C. -- Andrea Skipor had seven kills and seven aces Saturday to lead Columbus State to a straight-sets win over Pfeiffer and a split of two matches.
Megan Frame had 11 kills in the dominating win over Pfeiffer (25-11, 25-12, 25-6). Cori Ehmen had six kills, five digs and 28 assists in the win. CSU had a stretch of 15 consecutive points in the third set of the match.
Earlier, the Lady Cougars lost to Belmont Abbey (20-25, 16-25, 16-25).
CSU got off to slow starts in the sets with Belmont Abbey. In the first set, CSU got to within 24-20 before an attacking error won the match for Belmont Abbey.
Skipor led CSU with seven kills. Frame and Kylie Beaubien each had six kills.
Columbus State (2-10) plays at Montevallo Tuesday at 8 p.m.
