Jarrell, Person score two apiece as CSU soccer rolls over Young Harris
Olivia Jarrell and Chelsea Person scored two goals apiece to lead the Columbus State soccer team to a 6-0 rout of Young Harris on Saturday at the Walken Soccer Complex.
Jarrell got CSU on the board at 20:31 with an assist by Shelby Rolling.
Person scored the next two goals. The first came at 23;10 as she deflected a free kick from Andi Larese.
She scored again just after intermission at 47:45 with an assist from Nicole Corcione, who passed the ball into Person in the box.
Jarrell scored an unassisted goal at 51:19 for a 4-0 lead.
Cassandra Wade scored the fifth goal from 20 yards out. Mandy Janowitz put back her own rebound to close out the scoring at 62:19.
CSU is 7-2-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the Peach Belt Conference. Young Harris is 2-4 and 0-4.
CSU, which has won four straight, plays at Georgia Southwestern at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
