Nicole Corcione scores three in Columbus State's soccer win

AMERICUS, Ga. -- Nicole Corcione scored a hat trick to lead the Columbus State soccer team to a 7-0 rout of Georgia Southwestern on Tuesday.

Chelsea Person scored just 2:20 into the game, and Shelby Rolling scored at 5:05 as the Lady Cougars took a quick 2-0 lead.

Then Corcione took over and scored the next three, at 10:06, 20:51 and 35:31 as CSU took a 5-0 lead.

Mandy Janowitz and Kelsey Lawrence added second-half goals.

Maylyn Parsons started in goal for CSU and made one save. Paige Betsill played the second half and did not face a shot on goal.

CSU (8-2-1, 4-0-1 Peach Belt Conference) has won five straight. Georgia Southwestern is 2-7 overall and 0-4 in the PBC.
