Columbus State's Michelle Mitchell unanimous choice for preseason All-Peach Belt team

Columbus State women's basketball player Michelle Mitchell was named to the preseason All-Peach Belt Conference team, the league announced Tuesday.

Mitchell, who earned All-America honors last season, was an unanimous selection to the six-player team.

Mitchell led the PBC in scoring with 20.1 points per game. She set a CSU record for points in a season with 644 as well as the single-game mark with 42.

The rest of the team included Armstrong State's Brigitta Barta, North Georgia's Kelsey Hutchins, Augusta's Kariel Hutt, Lander'"s Ty"Hesha Reynolds and USC Aiken's Emry Tsitouris.

CSU hosts the Army All-Stars on Nov. 5. It hosts Fort Valley State on Nov. 13 to open the regular season.
