CSU volleyball team defeats Augusta 3-1
Abby King and Kylie Beaubien each had 12 kills Wednesday to lead Columbus State to its first Peach Belt Conference win of the season over Augusta at the Lumpkin Center.
Columbus (4-20, 1-11 Peach Belt Conference) defeated Augusta 3-1 (25-23, 28-30, 25-16, 25-19).
The first two sets were tightly contested, but the Lady Cougars pulled away in sets three and four.
Megan Frame added 10 kills for CSU. Cori Ehmen recorded 43 assists in the match. Caytlin Merritt had 19 digs in the win.
Augusta (14-10, 5-8) was led by Rachel Windle with nine kills.
CSU plays plays at USC Aiken Friday at 7:30 p.m. and then plays at Lander in Greenwood, S.C., Saturday at 2 p.m.
