Olivia Jarrell scores twice to lead Columbus State to win

Olivia Jarrell scored a pair of goals in the first 15 minutes to lead Columbus State to a 5-0 rout of Montevallo on Wednesday night at the Walden Soccer Complex.

The win was the 11th straight for the Lady Cougars, who are 14-2-1 overall and 9-0-1 in the Peach Belt Conference. Montevallo is 2-12-2 and 1-9.

Jarrell scored her first goal 59 seconds into the match with an assist by Nicole Corcione, one of two for her in the match.

Cassandra Wade gave CSU a 2-0 lead at 7:16 with an assist by Chelsea Person.

Jarrell scored her 10th goal of the season at 14:49 on an unassisted goal.

Taylor Marks capped off the four-goal first half with a goal at 25:18. Corcione again had the assist.

Meosha Hatcher scored her first goal of the season at 77:06.

Paige Betsill and Maylyn Parsons split time in goal. Neither faced a shot.

CSU hosts UNC Pembroke at 1 p.m. Saturday.
