Columbus State rolls over Carver

Brent Jackson poured in 29 points and Cam Baker added 21 as Columbus State rolled over Carver 101-88 on Tuesday night in the Lumpkin Center.

The Cougars (2-0) also got 11 points from DeMarcus McVay.

The game was not nearly as close as the final score indicated. The Cougars took a 29-point lead (76-47) with 8:56 left in the game.

CSU shot 49.3 percent from the floor (36-of-73) and 77.7 percent from the free-throw line (21-of-27).

The Cougars host West Georgia at 2 p.m. Saturday.
