Big second half keys road victory for Columbus State

AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Columbus State Cougars used a big second half to down Georgia Southwestern 76-59 on Saturday afternoon at the Storm Dome.

"I felt like the guys came here ready to play," CSU coach Robert Moore said. "We let them back in the game late in the first half, but to play the second half that we did was phenomenal to see."

The 'Canes had another 8-0 run later in the first half to tie the game at 32. Brentine Taylor hit a pair of free throws to give the Cougars a 34-32 lead at intermission.
