CSU men’s golf in tie for ninth at Southeastern Collegiate
The Columbus State men’s golf team moved up four spots Monday in the second round of the Southeastern Collegiate.
Columbus State shot a 7-over 295 to move to tie for ninth at 594. The Cougars are tied with Lee University, which shot a 300 Monday.
West Florida fired a 6-under 282 to move into first place at 573. Florida Southern dropped a spot to second after a 289 left the Mocs at 575.
Robert Mize and Yannick Gumowski both shot even-par 72 to lead CSU.
Mize has a two-day total of 146, and he is tied for 19th. Gumowski is tied for 33rd at 148.
Gideo Van Der Vyver shot a 64 and is tied for 25th at 147. Duncan Van der Vyver shot a 77 and tied for 67th at 153.
Taylor Martin had the drop score with an 89. He is 93rd at 167.
The final round is scheduled for today.
