Columbus State softball splits with Palm Beach Atlantic
Columbus State started its Florida trip with a split of a doubleheader at Palm Beach Atlantic on Tuesday night.
The Lady Cougars won Game 1, 6-3, by scoring three runs in the top of the 10th inning.
Kailey Boone singled in the go-ahead run. She finished 3-for-5 with two RBIs. Peyton Sorrells (8-3) earned the win.
Palm Beach Atlantic scored three times in the sixth to win Game 2, 4-3.
Hanna Manley (4-4) suffered the loss. Elizabeth Perdue and Calli Star had two hits apiece.
CSU played a pair of late games on Wednesday at Nova Southeastern.
The Lady Cougars play at Peach Belt Conference doubleheader at Montevallo at 6 p.m. Saturday.
