CSU men’s golf team finishes 10th at Bearcat Invitational
CSU men’s golf team posted a final round of 309 in the Bearcat Invitational on Tuesday and finished in 10th place with a three-round total of 897.
Young Harris won the tournament, held at Greenwood Country Club, with a 871 total. Lincoln Memorial was second (873) and Newberry third (874).
Gideon van der Vyver had CSU’s low score Tuesday at two-over par 74. He finished 18th. Other CSU players’ Tuesday scores and individual finishes: Yannick Gumowski 77 (36th); Robert Mize 81 (tied 49th); TaeHyung Kim 79 (tied 49th) and Jack Stumpfig 79 (83rd).
CSU next plays in the Peach Belt Conference Championship April 15-17 in Saint Augustine, Fla.
