Columbus State’s Ashley Johnson and Cody Mallchok both had a pair of runner-up finishes in the Peach Belt Conference track championships on Saturday at Pembroke, N.C.
Johnson was the runner-up in the shot put at 13.44 meters and the discus at 36.99. Mallchok finished second in the 3000 meter steeplechase in 9:14.23 and in the 5,000 in 15:20.61.
Kayla Waters came in fifth in the triple jump at 11.21 meters. Rachel Dixon came in sixth in the 400 in 58.48. Brianna Dent was sixth in the discus at 33.56 meters.
Jessica Young, Waters, Tierra Wright and Dixon combined to finish sixth in the 4x400 in 4:07.68.

Zachary Benjamin, Quincy Smith and Isaiah Lay and Jalen Tolbert teamed up to come in second in the 4x400 in 3:15.19.
Smith finished third in the 400 in 47.76.
Zackery Scott came in fifth in the high jump at 1.87 meters. William Chandler finished seventh in the javelin with a throw of 45.67 meters.
In Friday events, both 4x100 relay teams scored points.
Tatiana Wayne, Kayla Waters, Tierra Wright and Rachel Dixon combined to finish fifth in the 4x100 relay in 48.97.
Christopher Miles, Zachary Benjamin, William Chandler and Jalen Tolbert teamed up to finish sixth in 43.74.
