Former Columbus State basketball player Brent Jackson has signed to play professionally in Argentina.

Jackson signed with Atletico Echague Parana for the 2016-17 season. Former CSU player DeAngelo Kirkland signed with that same team last summer.

“I am very happy that Brent will continue his basketball career as a professional,” CSU coach Robert Moore said. “He helped the Cougars become one of the top teams in the Peach Belt Conference during his two-year career.”

In his final season with CSU, Jackson averaged just below 17 points a game and led the team with 65 3-pointers. He earned second-team All-Peach Belt Conference honors.

Jackson is the sixth former CSU player to sign a pro contract in the past year.
