Lady Cougars soccer team picked as PBC favorite

The No. 2 ranked Columbus State women’s soccer team has been picked as the unanimous preseason Peach Belt Conference favorite by the coaches.

CSU got all 12 first-place votes in the annual poll to amass 144 points.

The rest of the top five includes Armstrong State (129), North Georgia (126), Flagler (101) and Georgia College (93).

CSU has won three straight PBC regular season championships and the last two PBC tournament titles.

The Lady Cougars open the season Sept. 2 against No. 18 North Alabama at the Walden Soccer Complex.
