Columbus State volleyball team picked to finish ninth in Peach Belt

The Columbus State volleyball team was picked to finish ninth in the Peach Belt Conference preseason poll.

Ten schools in the PBC play volleyball.

The Lady Cougars received votes from other coaches to finish between sixth and eighth place.

Flagler was picked to win the conference followed by Armstrong State, USC Aiken, Lander, Montevallo, Augusta, Francis Marion and Georgia College. UNC Pembroke was picked to finish last.

CSU, which restarted its volleyball program in 2013, opens the 2016 season on Sept. 2 against Mars Hill at the Lumpkin Center at 7 p.m.
