Media picks Alabama to win SEC championship

Alabama was the overwhelming choice to win the Southeastern Conference championship.

The Tide received 98 of 167 votes by the media attending SEC media days.

LSU was next with 29, followed by Arkansas (18), South Carolina (14), Georgia (4), Florida (2) and Ole Miss (2).LSU was picked to finish second in the SEC West, followed by Arkansas, Mississippi State, Auburn and Ole Miss.

South Carolina was picked to finish first in the East, followed by Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky and Vanderbilt.Alabama led the way on the All-SEC teams with 16 players. There are a total of three teams.

Nine of the Bama players were on the first team. Georgia has six on the first team. Auburn has one.
