Former Georgia, Carver High tailback Isaiah Crowell of Alabama State named SWAC Newcomer of the Week

Alabama State tailback Isaiah Crowell, a former Georgia and Carver High standout, ran for 149 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries in the Hornets' 45-0 home victory over Texas Southern.

It was the second straight 100-yard rushing game for Crowell, who produced 126 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries Sept. 29 against Alcorn State. He has 491 yards and eight touchdowns on 84 carries in six games this season.
