SEC-Big East Challenge announces matchups

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Southeastern Conference and Big East will match up in 12 men's basketball games over three days next season.

The annual SEC-Big East Challenge will be Nov. 29 through Dec. 1, with each league hosting six games.

The matchups include Kentucky visiting Notre Dame on Nov. 29 and Syracuse playing at Arkansas on Nov. 30.

None of the leagues' new members is playing.

The other Nov. 29 games include: South Carolina atSt. John's, Seton Hall at LSU and Marquette at Florida.

Georgia at South Florida, DePaul at Auburn and Tennessee at Georgetown round out the rest of the Nov. 30 games.

The final day's matchups are Mississippi State at Providence, Rutgers at Mississippi, Alabama at Cincinnati and Villanova at Vanderbilt.
