Nathaniel Lowe and Gavin Collins each drove in three runs Saturday to power No. 4 Mississippi State to a 16-6 win over Auburn at Plainsman Park.
The Bulldogs (36-14-1, 17-9 SEC) jumped on Auburn starter Justin Camp for eight runs in the second inning and cruised to an easy win.
Blake Logan delivered Auburn’s biggest blow, a three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning, but that just brought the Tigers (22-29, 9-17) to within five runs at 10-5.
Austin Sexton (6-2) allowed six runs on six hits over 6 2/3 innings to pick up the win. Camp (3-4) allowed eight runs on eight hits over 1 1/3 inning and took the loss.

In Friday’s game, Dakota Hudson (8-3) spread six hits over nine innings as Mississippi State shut out Auburn 4-0.
Niko Buentello went 2-for-4 with a double for Auburn. Cole Lipscomb (2-4) gave up four runs on 10 hits over 5 2/3 innings and took the loss.
