BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Auburn scored nine runs on five hits, three walks and an error in the sixth inning of an 18-7 win over Samford on Tuesday.
Joseph Sanders hit a pair of home runs in the game, a solo shot and a grand slam. He leads the team with 11 this season. He finished Tuesday’s game with a career high six RBIs.
The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Auburn (16-8).
Auburn’s nine-run inning turned a 7-4 deficit into a 13-7 lead, with all nine runs coming after two outs.
