Coming to a Walmart near you: Auburn’s BCS trophy

Auburn will display its $30,000 crystal BCS trophy at Walmart stores this weekend, just as archrival Alabama did last year.

The trophy will be on display at Walmart stores this weekend in Columbus, Montgomery and Auburn. There has not been an announcement as to which Walmarts the trophy will be at.

The tour is part of a sponsorship deal with Dr Pepper and gives fans a chance to have their photographs taken with the huge piece of crystal.

Thousands of Alabama fans spent hours in line at Walmart stores last year waiting to see the trophy after the Crimson Tide won the BCS title game against Texas.
