Former Auburn football coach Terry Bowden agrees to extension at North Alabama
FLORENCE, Ala. -- North Alabama football coach Terry Bowden said he has agreed to a one-year contract extension with the NCAA Division II school.
The TimesDaily of Florence reports that Bowden worked out the details with athletic director Mark Linder on Tuesday.
Bowden has led the Lions to a 29-9 record in his three seasons at North Alabama. His 29 wins over his first three years are the most by any coach in the program’s history.
Bowden said he’s happy the Lions have made it to the playoffs for the third straight year.
