Auburn football: Tigers' home game versus San Jose State set for 7:30 p.m ET kickoff

AUBURN, Ala. — The starting times for Auburn's first three games this fall are no longer a mystery.

On Friday, the Southeastern Conference announced that Auburn's home game versus San Jose State on Sept. 6 will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET. It will air on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. It comes one day after the kickoff time for the Tigers' Thursday night road affair against Kansas State was revealed. Auburn will head to Manhattan, Kansas, to take on Kansas State on Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m. ET in a nationally televised contest on ESPN.

Auburn's season and SEC opener will come on Aug. 30, when it hosts Arkansas at 4 p.m. ET, with the SEC Network handling the broadcast duties.

This year's matchup marks the first time Auburn has ever played San Jose State. Both teams will have to get used to each other, as they will face off in both the 2014 and 2015 seasons. Both games have the Tigers hosting the Spartans in Jordan-Hare Stadium.
