AUBURN, Ala. — Gus Malzahn will hold his weekly press conference as he does each Tuesday, beginning at approximately 12:15 ET.
Check back for updates throughout the presser.
Malzahn begins by bringing up how big of a challenge Georgia presents this week. "Offensively, the No. 1 scoring offense in our league."
What's the status of D'haquille "Duke" Williams? Malzahn said the junior receiver is "week-to-week." When asked whether that meant he was officially ruled out for Saturday, Malzahn said that's not the case just yet. However, the coach did say it was "unlikely" Williams will play.
In Williams' absence, Malzahn said Melvin Ray and C.J. Uzomah took his place.
When the team loses close games, Malzahn said the coaches take it every bit as hard as the players. "We need to do everything we can to get our guys prepared to play this week."
Has Malzahn thought about the ending to last year's edition of the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry at all? "That's last year. We're concentrating on this year."
Malzahn doesn't think this week will matter much to Nick Marshall. "It's not as big a deal the second time," he said.
That's it for the time being. Continue to return to the Ledger-Enquirer's website throughout the day for more coverage of today's proceedings.
