Auburn football: Tigers in the NFL, Week 10

AUBURN, Ala. — There are Auburn alums in the NFL. This post checks in on them each week. Let's get to it.

But first, we extend our gratitude to Taylor Bryan, who works in Auburn's athletics department and compiled this information.

THE STAR (s)

Karlos Dansby (LB, Cleveland Browns): Totaled eight tackles, including one for loss, in a 24-3 win at Cincinnati. Dansby has recorded a team-leading 69 tackles, seven for loss, to go along with 3.0 sacks, two passes defended and an interception in nine games played this season.

Tre Mason (RB, St. Louis Rams): Made his second consecutive start and rushed for a team-leading 48 yards on 14 carries to go along with four receptions for 33 yards in 31-14 loss at Arizona. Has rushed for 270 yards and a touchdown on 63 carries with seven receptions for 38 yards in five games played this season. Despite playing in only five games, his 270 yards rushing are best on the Rams. Mason’s 54.0 rushing YPG is the best among rookie running backs.

HONORABLE MENTION

Cody Parkey (K, Philadelphia Eagles): Kicked a 39-yard field goal and six PATs in a 45-21 win versus Carolina. Parkey is now 16-of-17 (94.1 percent, sixth in the NFL) with three 50-plus yard field goals and is 33-of-33 on PATs this season. His three 50-plus yard field goals are tied for fifth in the NFL and he is one of two kickers with three or more 50-plus yard field goals who is yet miss. Also, 35 of his 56 kickoffs have been touchbacks (62.5 percent).

BEST OF THE REST

Daren Bates (LB, St. Louis Rams): Did not play in a 31-14 loss at Arizona. Bates has totaled two special teams tackles in eight games played this season.

Ronnie Brown (RB, San Diego Chargers): The Chargers were on a bye for Week 10. Brown has totaled 21 yards on 11 carries and 35 yards on four receptions in seven games played this season.

Josh Bynes (LB, Detroit Lions): Recorded one tackle in a 20-16 win versus Miami. Bynes has totaled six tackles in six games played this season.

Jason Campbell (QB, Cincinnati Bengals): Completed 3-of-6 passes for seven yards in Cincinnati’s 24-3 loss to Cleveland. Has completed 7-of-13 passes for 49 yards in three games played this season.

Chris Davis (CB, San Diego Chargers): The Chargers were on a bye for Week 10. Davis made his first career NFL start at defensive back and recorded seven tackles and a forced fumble in a 37-0 loss at Miami in week nine. He also returned four kicks for 116 yards, including a 35-yard return. He has totaled 11 tackles with a pass defended and a forced fumble in five games played this season.

King Dunlap (OT, San Diego Chargers): The Chargers were on a bye for Week 10. Dunlap has made 39 starts at offensive tackle in his six-year NFL career.

Nick Fairley (DT, Detroit Lions): Did not play due to an injury in Detroit’s 20-16 win versus Miami. Fairley exited the Lions’ week eight game versus Atlanta with a knee injury and did not return. He has totaled 14 tackles, two for loss, to go along with a forced fumble and a sack in eight games played this season.

Dee Ford (LB, Kansas City Chiefs): Saw action but did not record any stats in Kansas City’s 17-13 win at Buffalo. Ford has totaled three tackles with a half sack and a pass defended in nine games played this season.

Quentin Groves (LB, Tennessee Titans): Recorded one tackle in a 21-7 loss at Baltimore. Groves has totaled seven tackles in nine games played this season.

Ben Grubbs (OG, New Orleans Saints): Made his 111th consecutive start on the offensive line in a 27-24 loss to San Francisco.

Josh Harris (LS, Atlanta Falcons): Snapped for the Falcons for the 41st time in a 27-17 win at Tampa Bay. Harris has recorded three tackles on special teams in nine games played this season.

Will Herring (LB, St. Louis Rams): Saw action on special teams for the fifth consecutive week since being signed by St. Louis but did not record any stats in a 31-14 loss at Arizona.

Corey Lemonier (LB, San Francisco 49ers): Recorded one tackle in a 27-24 win at New Orleans. Lemonier has totaled seven tackles in nine games played this season.

Sen’Derrick Marks (DT, Jacksonville Jaguars): Started on the defensive line for the 10th time this season and recorded two tackles, including a sack, in a 31-17 loss to Dallas in London, England. Marks, who has now started 40 consecutive games, has recorded 29 tackles, seven for loss, with 5.0 sacks and two passes defended this season. His seven tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks are both best on the Jaguars.

Brandon Mosley (OG, New York Giants): Did not play in a 38-17 loss at Seattle. Mosley has appeared in five of the Giants’ nine games this season and has played in 18 games in his two-year NFL career.

Cam Newton (QB, Carolina Panthers): Completed 25-of-40 passes for 306 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions in a 45-21 loss at Philadelphia. In nine games this season, he has completed 172-of-296 (58.1 percent) passes for 2,100 yards with 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He has also rushed for 263 yards (third among NFL quarterbacks) and two touchdowns on 59 carries this season.

Jerraud Powers (CB, Arizona Cardinals): Recorded one tackle in a 31-14 win versus St. Louis. Powers has totaled 32 tackles, one for loss, with five passes defended, three interceptions and a forced fumble in nine games played this season. His three interceptions are tied for sixth in the NFL.

Jay Prosch (FB, Houston Texans): Houston was on a bye for Week 10. Prosch has played in all nine games and made three starts at fullback. He has recorded one reception for 24 yards this season.

Jay Ratliff (NT, Chicago Bears): Recorded one tackle in a 55-14 loss at Green Bay. Ratliff set a new career high with three sacks in the first half of the Bears’ week seven game against the Dolphins (3.5 sacks in the game). He has totaled 22 tackles, two for loss, with 3.5 sacks in six games played this season.

Greg Robinson (OL, St. Louis Rams): Made his fifth consecutive start and his second at offensive tackle in a 31-14 loss at Arizona. Robinson has appeared in all nine of St. Louis’ games this season.

Carlos Rogers (CB, Oakland Raiders): Did not play due to injury for the second consecutive week in Oakland’s 41-17 loss to Denver. In seven games this season, Rogers has totaled 35 tackles, four for loss, with two passes defended and a forced fumble.

Pat Sims (DT, Oakland Raiders): Recorded one tackle and a pass defended in Oakland’s 41-17 loss to Denver. Sims has totaled 16 tackles in nine games played this season.

Ben Tate (RB, Cleveland Browns): Rushed for 34 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries to go along with two receptions for 27 yards in Cleveland’s 24-3 win at Cincinnati. Tate has rushed for 342 yards and four touchdowns on 104 carries to go along with nine receptions for 60 yards in seven games this season.

Neiko Thorpe (DB, Oakland Raiders): Recorded one tackle in Oakland’s 41-17 loss to Denver. Thorpe has totaled two tackles and one pass defended in nine games played this season.
