AUBURN, Ala. — Ike Powell could be in line to make his second straight start as Auburn's long snapper. Or Forrest Hill could return after a one-week absence.
Gus Malzahn wasn't willing to divulge any details Wednesday night.
"It's possible," Auburn's coach responded when asked whether Hill would be back in the lineup Saturday. "I'm not ready to say 100 percent for sure, but it is possible."
Hill left Auburn's game against Ole Miss with an undisclosed injury Nov. 1. Powell, a true freshman walk-on, stepped in and played the remainder of the game, which the Tigers went on to win 35-31. Powell remained as the long snapper last week against Texas A&M.
Hailing from Jonesboro, Ga., Hill took over the long snapping job this season after two-year starter Jake Lembke graduated.
