AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn got back in the win column Wednesday, taking a 4-2 win against Georgia State at home.
The Tigers (20-13) were coming off a home series loss to SEC foe Arkansas last weekend. But the hosts showed no ill effects Wednesday, rallying back from a 2-1 deficit to score the final three runs of the game.
Phenix City native Anfernee Grier led the way offensively, going 3-for-5 and scoring a pair of runs. Senior Jacob Milliman (1-0) got his first career win, coming on in relief and pitching four innings of shutout ball.
The defeat added to Georgia State's (19-5) forgettable history at Auburn. The Panthers have never beaten the Tigers on the road in 12 attempts.
