AUBURN, Ala. — As is often customary with Gus Malzahn, Auburn's coach wasn't exactly specific when asked how his quarterbacks performed in Saturday's scrimmage.
"I think they did some good things," he said. "Jeremy (Johnson) had a better scrimmage than he had the first scrimmage. He's had a real good week. Sean (White) is doing a solid job, too."
Since the Tigers do not provide any statistics from their spring scrimmages — and media members are not permitted to view them — it is hard to compare each signal-callers' number from the previous Saturday. All that is known about the second scrimmage is that two touchdowns were thrown, with one coming from early enrollee Tyler Queen.
That was a marked improvement compared to the 90-play scrimmage Auburn held earlier this month, when its quarterbacks combined to toss three interceptions.
