Auburn takes on FCS opponent Jacksonville St. in an early kickoff Saturday. The Tigers have won their last home-openers going back to a loss to Georgia Tech in 2005.

Quarterback Jeremy Johnson looks to rebound from a career-worst three interception performance while a handful of players injured in a 31-24 win over Louisville including running back Roc Thomas and defensive back Tray Matthews will look to show they are healthy.

Auburn 6, Jacksonville St. 3 (9:55): Auburn kicker Daniel Carlson is making the case for a second straight SEC Special Teams Player of the Week award. He nailed a 49-yarder, his second field of the game, to give the Tigers a 6-3 lead.

Auburn 3, Jacksonville St. 3 (13:29): Jacksonville St. quarterback Eli Jenkins continues to push the right buttons. He hit favorite target Josh Barge down the sideline for a 29-yard pass on the key play of a 12-play, 60-yard drive. Auburn's defense held up in the red zone again to force a field goal attempt (32 yards), but the Gamecocks tied the game 3-3.

Auburn 3, Jacksonville St. 0 (3:08): Auburn quarterback Jeremy Johnson spread the ball around to get the Tigers into the red zone. He completed five straight passes to three different targets for 57 yards, but threw a pair of incompletions at the 11-yard line forcing Auburn to settle for a 27-yard field goal.

Auburn 0, Jacksonville St. 0 (7:40): Jacksonville St. marched down the field on its first drive with quarterback Eli Jenkins throwing for 59 yards on 5 of 7 passing. Auburn: Running backs Roc Thomas and Jovon Robinson went through pre-game warmups with their teammates, and are dressed to play. Safety Tray Matthews was on the field for warmups, but in street clothes with his uniform. After sitting out last year as a transfer, Matthews suffered a shoulder injury in the season-opener. He has yet to play a game at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Defensive lineman Carl Lawson is also out for Saturday's game. He spent warmups on crutches watching from the sidelines.

Starting lineup changes for the Tigers -- Cassanova McKinzy in for Tre' Williams at linebacker, Raashed Kennion in for Lawson on the defensive line, Nick Ruffin in for Tray Matthews at safety, Peyton Barber in for Thomas at running back, Devonte Danzey starting at right guard and Braden Smith moving from guard to tackle taking Avery Young's spot on right side.

Jacksonville St.: The Gamecocks will be without former Auburn defensive lineman Devaunte Sigler. He was replaced in starting lineup with Desmond Owino.
