Former Auburn WR Duke Williams apologized Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015 for being dismissed from the football team.

Former Auburn wide receiver Duke Williams broke his silence on being dismissed from the football team Tuesday afternoon with an apology posted on his Instagram account.

“I made mistake after mistake so it’s only right I blame myself,” Williams wrote.

Williams was dismissed from the team on Oct. 5 by coach Gus Malzahn. Malzahn released a short statement expressing his disappointment in the situation.

While reports have linked Williams to a fight at Skybar on Oct. 3, Malzahn has declined to elaborate on the details surrounding his decision. It was the third time the coach disciplined Williams in less than a year.
