Fourth Quarter

Alabama 22, Auburn 13 (10:04): A controversial late hit call helped Alabama extend its lead. Justin Garrett hit Alabama quarterback Jake Coker right at the out of bounds line. Officials reviewed the call and threw a flag on Garrett. Following the decision, Auburn's bench was called for unsportsmanlike conduct. A ball that would have been at Alabama’s own 36 ended up at Auburn’s 34-yard line where kicker Adam Griffith hit his fifth field goal.

Third Quarter

Alabama 19, Auburn 13 (4:27): Auburn answers with a miracle play similar to the one from two years ago with Jason Smith tipping an overthrown Jeremy Johnson pass not once, but twice to himself so he could take it 77 yards to the end zone. Alabama had two defenders covering Smith, but both missed breaking the play up as the ball bounced around in midair.

Alabama 19, Auburn 6 (5:14): Alabama scored the first touchdown of the game thanks to a 34-yard pass from Jake Coker to AdDarius Stewart. Coker was almost brought down in the backfield on the play, but somehow escaped from the pressure. He rolled out to his right and launched a deep pass to Stewart.

Second Quarter

Alabama 12, Auburn 6 (0:24): Auburn came away without any points on a 13-play, 44-yard drive at the end of the first half when Daniel Carlson missed a 48-yard field goal wide right. Back-to-back first downs on Alabama’s ensuing drive put them in field goal position running off less than a minute on the clock. Alabama went into halftime up 12-6 thanks to a 50-yard field goal from Adam Griffith.

Alabama 9, Auburn 6 (6:58): Auburn’s defense made an impressive goal line stand with Alabama inside the Tigers’ 5-yard line. Derrick Henry was tackled for a loss of eight yads on second down to force the Tide to settle for its third goal of the game (26 yarder).

Auburn 6, Alabama 6 (11:47): A steady diet of Derrick Henry tied the game right back up. He carried the ball seven times on a lengthy 14 play drive that ended with Adam Griffith’s second field goal of the game to make it 6-6 early in the second quarter.

First Quarter

Auburn 6, Alabama 3 (1:49): Auburn’s defense forced its first three-and-out of the game and Marcus Davis had his best punt return of the year for 21 yards to give the offense a short field. A 20-yard pass from Jeremy Johnson to Jovon Robinson quickly put the Tigers into field goal range. Daniel Carlson gave Auburn its first lead with a 44-yard field goa.

Auburn 3, Alabama 3 (7:35): Auburn answered with a lengthy drive that stalled at Alabama’s 7-yard line. Jovon Robinson carried the ball three times 24 yards on the drive while Jeremy Johnson hit running back Peyton Barber for a 28-yard pass at the sideline.

Alabama 3, Auburn 0 (11:28): Derrick Henry broke a 30-yard run to put Alabama in field goal position early. Alabama quarterback Jake Coker started game off with two short passes to get the Tide across midfield. Auburn went three-and-out on its opening drive.
