Ebert, Grier lead Auburn past Southern

AUBURN, Ala. -- Jordan Ebert had five hits, including three doubles, and three RBIs as Auburn beat Southern 18-5 on Friday at Plainsman Park.

Anfernee Grier (Russell County) finished with three hits, including a homer, and three RBIs. He also had three stolen bases.

Auburn used six pitchers. Izaac Yarbrough (1-0) got the win. He was the first reliever and he allowed one run on two hits in two innings.

The teams continue the series at 3 p.m. Saturday.
