Auburn’s pipeline from Madison Academy is alive and well.
The Tigers landed a verbal commitment on Saturday from the high school’s 4-star offensive lineman Austin Troxell.
Troxell announced the decision on Twitter by posting a picture of his family from their visit this weekend posing with members of Auburn’s coaching staff including Gus Malzahn, offensive line coach Herb Hand and running backs coach Tim Horton.
“Committed to Auburn University!! War Eagle,” Troxell tweeted.

Madison Academy has produced a 4-star recruit each of the past three seasons and all three headed off to the Plains. The massive 6-foot-7, 275-pounder will join former teammates Kerryon Johnson and Malik Miller when he makes his decision official in February.
Troxell, who has 19 scholarship offers, picked Auburn over most of the school’s rivals in the SEC including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida and Georgia.
Bolstering the offensive line is a priority for Auburn on the recruiting trail this summer. Troxell joins long-time commit Calvin Ashley as the centerpieces of the team’s 2017 class at the position.
Auburn’s now has nine verbal commits for 2017.
