Alabama forward Richard Hendrix was named to the Coaches’ All-SEC team Tuesday.
Hendrix, a 6-foot-8 junior from Athens, Ala., has been one of the lone bright spots in a difficult season for the Crimson Tide.
Vanderbilt’s Shan Foster was chosen as the Player of the Year.
Others who made the nine-player first team included Arkansas’ Sonny Weems, Kentucky’s Ramel Bradley, Mississippi’s Jamont Gordon and Charlie Rhodes, South Carolina’s Devan Downey and Tennessee’s Chris Lofton and Tyler Smith.

Georgia guard Sundiata Gaines was named to the second team as well as the all-defensive team. Teammate Jeremy Price made the freshman team.
Dave Bliss of Georgia was the Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Tennessee’s Bruce Pearl and Kentucky’s Billy Gillispie were selected as co-Coaches of the Year.
