Starting job still on line for Tide QBs
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Alabama football team practiced for two hours Friday in shells on its artificial turf field.
Quarterback Greg McElroy, who is fighting for the starting quarterback job with Star Jackson and Thomas Darrah, said he is pleased with how spring practice has progressed.
“I have really worked hard on the things I wanted to improve on,” McElroy said. “I’ve tried to be efficient, which was my main goal of the spring, and make good decisions. I think I have done well to this point, obviously, there is room for improvement and there are things that I will be able to continue to improve on throughout the summer and fall camp.”
