TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The future of another Alabama defensive player is in question.

Nick Saban told reporters Saturday that defensive end Brandon Moore was suspended for violating “team rules and policy,” and has not practiced in a few days.

“That’s indefinite,” Saban said. “We don’t know what’s happening there.”

Moore had six tackles as a redshirt freshman last fall.

The suspension of defensive back Robby Green was announced Monday. Unspecified rules violations led to the action after Green missed the entire 2010 season with an NCAA suspension.

Moore, a sophomore-to-be from Montgomery, was competing for playing time on a defensive line that lost Marcell Dareus to the NFL draft. The unit was already a man down this spring because of Kerry Murphy’s knee injury.

ALSO MISSING: Reserve offensive lineman Tyler Love was also absent from Saturday’s practice moved indoors because of weather.

Saban said a concussion kept the senior-to-be from the workout.

“They held him out for a day so they could test him a little more,” Saban told reporters. “Hopefully that’s not serious.”

Love had been working behind William Vlachos, the returning starting center.

COACHES INVADE: There were close to 1,200 high school coaches in Tuscaloosa for the two-day clinic ending Saturday.

The group heard from Jets coach Rex Ryan, former Florida State coach Bobby Bowden, Randy Shannon, formerly of Miami and Philadelphia Eagle offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg. Ex-Alabama players DeMeco Ryans, and Jarret Johnson also spoke Friday in Coleman Coliseum.

“We offer hospitality so we can give back professionally to our peers, the high school coaches, who do so much to help us in terms of developing players we have success with here, as well as help us with recruiting, and all the things they do to impact young people to do what they want to do,” Saban said.
