Alabama routs Samford 12-1

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Alabama had no problems dispatching in-state opponent Samford on Tuesday, cruising to a 12-1 win.

Six Crimson Tide (16-15) starters had at least two hits, led by Georgie Salem, who launched his first two home runs of the year. Jake Walters (3-1) got the win, going five innings and striking out nine. Samford (14-17) gave up 18 hits to Alabama.

The Crimson Tide welcomes Georgia to Hoover for a three-game SEC series starting Friday at 8 p.m. ET.
