Six Bama players recognized after loss to Ole Miss
The Tide's coaching staff recognized six players for their performances following Saturday's 43-37 loss to Ole Miss.
On offense, Derrick Henry and Richard Mullaney were recognized while A'Shawn Robinson and Jarran Reed represented the defense. Adam Griffith and Tony Brown made the cut on special teams. Reed and Brown have been honored following every game this season.
Henry, a junior, rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries against the Rebels. He found the end zone on a two-yard run in the fourth quarter to tie the national lead with seven rushing scores in three games.
Mullaney scored his first touchdown in an Alabama uniform as he leapt over a defender into the end zone. He added another score late in the fourth quarter. Mullaney finished 61 receiving yards on seven catches, both career bests at Alabama.
Robinson and Reed combined for eight total tackles. Robinson added a quarterback hurry with three tackles. Reed accounted for five tackles, a quarterback hurry.
Griffith made his only field goal attempt while connecting on all three extra points. Brown recovered the Tide's first onside kick since 2007, downed a punt at the two yard line and made one special teams tackle.
