TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Nine former Alabama players received invitations to the upcoming NFL scouting combine, according to a list released by the league on Thursday.
Reggie Ragland, A’Shawn Robinson, Jarran Reed, Ryan Kelly, Cyrus Jones, Kenyan Drake, Derrick Henry, Dominick Jackson and D.J. Pettway all made the cut.
Ohio State has the most players invited with 14 while Notre Dame has 10. Alabama and UCLA are tied for third-most with nine.
Ragland, Robinson and Reed are all projected first-round picks, according to CBSSports.com. Many analysts consider Kelly as one of the top two center prospects in this draft class, and he is projected to go in the first or second round.. Henry is projected to go in the second round, while Drake is listed as going as high as the third round of the draft.
One notable omission was Tide quarterback Jake Coker. Despite receiving playing in the Senior Bowl, Coker was not among the 18 quarterbacks invited to the combine.
The NFL scouting combine will be held from Feb. 23-29 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
