Alabama defeats Arkansas 8-6 in Game 1 of series

Cobie Vance, Chandler Taylor and Will Haynie each homered to lead Alabama to an 8-6 win over the Razorbacks in Friday night’s series opener.

Geoffrey Bramlett (5-3) allowed two runs on five hits over six innings to pick up the win for Alabama (28-21, 13-12 SEC).

Dominic Taccolini (5-4) took the loss for the Arkansas (26-23, 7-18).

The series concludes Sunday at 2 p.m.
