Dykes, Osorio lead Alabama past Washington and into world series

Reagan Dykes hit a three-run homer in a four-run third inning Saturday and Alabama held off Washington 5-2 to win the super regional and advance to the college softball world series.

Tide starter Sydney Littlejohn gave up two runs in the bottom of the third and was replaced by ace Alexis Osorio (19-6). Osorio held the Huskies in check the rest of the way and got the win.

Demi Turner and Andrea Hawkins each had two hits for Alabama (51-12). Washington finished the season 39-15.

In Game 1 Friday night, Turner hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Alabama a 2-1 win over Washington.

Osorio gave up one run on four hits and picked up the complete-game win. Taran Alvelo gave up one run on five hits in four innings of relief and took the loss.

Chandler Dare went 2-for-3 for Alabama. Turner drove in both runs for the Tide.
