Vols rally for three runs in the ninth for 5-2 win over Georgia.
Tennessee rallied for three runs in the top of the ninth inning Saturday to break a 2-2 tie and defeat Georgia 5-2 at Foley Field.
The Vols (29-27, 9-21 SEC) took an early 2-0 lead before the Bulldogs tied it in the fifth inning on an RBI ground out by Stephen Wrenn and an RBI single by Keegan McGovern.
After the Vols went ahead 3-2 in ninth, Nick Senzel added a two-run double to pad the lead. Skyler Weber went 3-for-5 and Trevor Kieboom (CVCC) was 2-for-4 for the Bulldogs.
Blakely Brown (2-2) gave up three runs on three hits over 1 2/3 innings of relief and took the loss for Georgia (27-29, 11-19). Aaron Soto (6-2) allowed one hit over 2 2/3 innings to pick up the win.
