Georgia will start the 2008 season ranked No. 1 in the USA Today coaches poll that was released Friday morning.
The Bulldogs received 22 of the 61 first-place votes.
Southern Cal is ranked second. The Trojans received 14 votes for No.1. Ohio State received the same number of first-place votes and is ranked third.
Six teams received first-place votes. The others are Oklahoma (No. 4 ranking, three first-place votes), Florida (5, 5) and LSU (6, 3).

The rest of the top 10 are Missouri, West Virginia, Clemson and Texas.
Auburn leads off the second 10, followed by Wisconsin, Kansas, Texas Tech, Virginia Tech, Arizona State, BYU, Tennessee, Illinois and Oregon.
The final five in the poll are South Florida, Penn State, Wake Forest, Michigan and Fresno State.
Alabama was the first team listed in also receiving votes.
