3-6 p.m. at Woodruff Practice Fields off Lumpkin Street

ATHENS, Ga. — The annual Countdown to Kickoff Fan Day charity event featuring Georgia football standouts and NFL players will be 3-6 p.m. Saturday at the University of Georgia’s Woodruff Practice Fields off Lumpkin Street.
Three former Bulldogs organize the event: former NFL quarterback David Greene, NFL first-round draft choice Matt Stinchcomb and current New Orleans Saints lineman Jon Stinchcomb.
The event benefits Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Georgia Transplant Foundation, Children’s Tumor Foundation, University of Georgia College of Education and UGA’s Pediatric Exercise and Motor Development Clinic. Activities for fans of all ages include autograph and photo sessions, games, face-painting and football drills. Georgia mascot Hairy Dawg and the cheerleaders are scheduled to be in attendance along with the Redcoat Band.
Tickets are $25 each. A Family Pack of four costs $75.
